Feasibility Study
A fascinating opportunity to work alongside other Forest School Practitioners while contributing to a study assessing logistical practicalities in Forest School delivery run by Afric at Forest Schools Birmingham.
It was a pleasure to work with different practitioners, Kirsten, Caroline, Ruth, Mat, Penny, Nick and look forward to doing so again in the near future. |

National Conference 2007
I was invited to demonstrate fire by friction at the recent National Forest School Conference in Nottingham on October 19th 2007 organised by I was fortunate enough to be alongside Ian Cresswell from Woodland Survival Crafts, which made for a thoroughly enjoyable day. A 100% success rate with those attempting fire by friction meant that many people left enthused by the possibility of using the skill in their Forest Schools. The event was concerned with sharing of ideas and also looking at the future of Forest Schools, both in terms of the further development and certification for Practitioners, an association of Forest School Leaders and also guest speakers on a range of topics.
