Background

I have been fortunate enough to grow up in Cannock Chase, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

I have been working in the countryside for the past eight years, starting off as a trainee and then Forester before moving on to become a Forestry Instructor.  For the past three years I have enjoyed the role of a Countryside Ranger where I am heavily involved with educational work as well as habitat management,  archaeological interpretation and Forest Schools.

I have studied Bushcraft for a number of years and excited in seeing those skills resonate with people of all ages and ability, giving them a connection to the natural world.

Currently I am also assisting on Bushcraft and Survival courses with Woodland Survival Crafts where I am gaining further experience and training in this field of instruction. (Testimonial)

Forest Schools is a wonderful complement to those skills and crafts, using them for personal and social development and as a result, enabling a person's freedom within themselves.
